DDB Group Italy celebrates the bond between Volkswagen and FIGC with the new Super Hybrid social campaign, on air also on TikTok

Volkswagen has announced the two-year renewal of its partnership with FIGC, reaffirming its support for the Italian men’s and women’s National football teams and strengthening a relationship built on shared values and a long-term vision.

This collaboration once again takes center stage in a communication effort signed by DDB Group Italy. The agency has developed a new social campaign to accompany the Azzurri on their road to qualification for the upcoming World Cup.

The initiative strengthens the brand’s positioning as a “Supporter of tomorrow”, developed by DDB Group Italy, and aims to highlight, in an original and relevant way, the link between the passion for the “Azzurri” and Volkswagen’s hybrid technology.

Designed around three creative approaches, the campaign explores the bond between the Wolfsburg-based car manufacturer and FIGC through native social formats and languages, adopting a light, ironic and relatable tone.

The concept idea is simple yet powerful: combining different elements creates an advantage—in football, in cheering, and on the road. This vision opens up a new, more innovative and authentic way of experiencing mobility. A message perfectly embodied by the new Volkswagen Super Hybrid, where combustion and electric power come together to deliver the best of both worlds.

The campaign will be on air until November on TikTok and Meta, supported by a content strategy designed to follow every stage of the Azzurri’s journey with highly engaging content that speaks about football and innovation in a fresh and contemporary way.
